How we assign and calculate sentiment score for crypto related news:

In order to provide users with the most comprehensive data about cryptocurrencies, we have determined that market data and on-chain data alone are insufficient. While on-chain analysis is crucial, prices and crypto movements are largely influenced by people's sentiment.

Therefore, we have taken the initiative to aggregate the latest news about crypto from various reliable sources, including but not limited to RSS feeds from Google News, Cointelegraph, Bitcoin Magazine, Crypto Daily, Coindesk, Bitcoinist, NewsBTC, Bitcoin.com, Coingeek, CoinJournal, and many others.

After collecting the latest news from these trusted sources, we have developed our proprietary sentiment detection algorithm. This algorithm calculates the sentiment score of each news article by assigning a rating from -5 to 5 to each word and sentence. Our methodology has been inspired by the well-known AFINN library, but we have enhanced it to be more comprehensive and tailored specifically to the crypto industry.

While our sentiment detector is a new technology and still in the beta testing phase (meaning it is not 100% precise), it has already proven to be a highly useful tool for gauging sentiment.

We continuously strive to improve our algorithms on a daily basis, aiming to provide our users with the most comprehensive suite of tools to analyze everything related to the world of cryptocurrencies.
